This is where I have been spending most of my time lately. If I am not working in the gardens, I am relaxing and enjoying them. Brandy and the cats also love being outside and we all have blossomed with the fresh country air. Norris of course spends all his time outside as he always did and he loves having all the space to landscape.

I have included a lot of pictures as I want to share this wonderful place with you. There are flowers, weeds, fruits and vegtables all mixed together and I love it! I always loved to wander through fields and meadows and pick wild flowers and now I have it all in my own back yard. It has been fun watching to see what is coming up and although there are a lot of weeds amongst the flowers, I have left most of them there as they are beautiful in their own way.
My vegtable garden is coming along very well and we just love to go and pick the vegtables off the vine and eat them raw as we pick them. We have had rhubarb, raspberries, peas, snow peas, beans, lettuce and beat tops so far. The beats, carrots, corn, cucmbers, tomatoes, peppers and cherry tomatoes are not ready yet.
Although most of the perennials that I brought with me did not survive the winter, there are plenty of other flowers here to enjoy. Cultured ones as well as wild ones. So you can see why I love it here. It is just like heaven to me. The air is fresh and clean and it is so quiet.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great spot :-)
ReplyDeleteDoreen- it's so beautiful! I am sooo happy for you- having so much space and wonderful nature around does make a person feel sooo lucky. I especially love to see your babies enjoying the outdoors too :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are enjoying your summer.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so beautiful. I love morning glories. :)
Que hermoso lugar!!!! Me encanta!!! Es una belleza y el perrito divino!! Besos desde Argentina!!!
ReplyDeleteDoreen, I loved that beautiful house you had on the water, but I can see why you love this too, all that space you have there, very beautiful!

Thanks Marlies. Although the house on the river looked nice, it really wasn't. The house was in very bad shape and it was not healthy as I am sure there was mildew in the walls and the foundation was very weak. You know the expression "beauty is only skin deep" - well that goes for houses too. That house had a LOT of things wrong with it. The house we are in now is solid and in good shape and we do love the country. We do not miss the river at all.
ReplyDeleteDoreen, I didn't realise that you had moved!
ReplyDeleteI am so far behind, I think I might run into myself. ;)
Glad to hear you are much happier here. :)
